Following a riotous New Year’s Eve performance by Clear Waters Deep, the Champ closed its doors for a post-festive pause. This pause turned out to be longer than originally planned. It is now due to reopen on Tuesday 7 March. We can’t wait!
Originally planned to reopen on 18 January, various repairs necessitated the closure to be prolonged. The Friends of the Champ then announced an opening date of February 8. This did not happen. The reopening date of 7 March really will happen. Being a Tuesday, the open mic folk session will kick off the opening festivities. The next day Jim Crawford and his bluesy buddies return for their regular Wednesday night open mic blues session. Why don’t we do it in the road? The answer, my friends, is blowing in the wind.
