Appledore has a new and rather good jazz quartet that goes by the name of Domingo Caramelo. At their opening show at the Champ in June 2023 they played jazz standards like Misty, Autumn Leaves and Fly me to the Moon. Sax player Sam Norris channels the great jazz sax players of the twentieth century , while his dad Rob tinkled the keys as if he was born to it. Dayle Helsby is the bass player keeping it all together and on drums with impeccable timing is the lovely Jim Blofeld.
