Applecorers Shanty and food drive

On the fourth Thursday of each month Appledore’s own sea shanty ensemble, the Applecorers, perform at the Champ. The Applecorers sing traditional sea shanties. It is easy to imagine, listening to this choir, the days when Appledore’s streets were full of sailors and shipbuilders. Their rousing songs of the sea will lift your spirits and warm your heart.
This performance is in memory of John Thompkins and is in aid of Movember in his memory.
The evening is also a food drive. There will be a collection of food donations for the Northern Devon food bank. Thanks to Kaye for organising the collection. If you can, please bring along some of the urgently-needed items listed below:
