The Appledore Social Club recently closed its doors because it could not cover its costs. The directors of the Community Interest Company that runs the social club would like to hand over to a new set of directors who can reopen the club and take it forwards. Following a meeting on 29 August 2023, a working group is being formed to assess whether the social club has a future and to gather ideas for making it a thriving and viable community club.
