On 19 October she will be appearing with her quartet at North Devon Jazz Club in The Beaver\, Appledore. \nWith fluid\, expressive piano playing and emotive vocals\, Fabienne’s sound is lyrical and rich in detail\, drawing inspiration from both the natural world and urban life. Marked by compelling rhythms and influences\, ranging from blues and Brahms to The Beatles\, the band creates music that is daring yet intimate and truly its own. DESCRIPTION:Appledore’s own sea shanty ensemble\, the Applecorers\, perform at the Champ. The Applecorers sing traditional sea shanties. It is easy to imagine\, listening to this choir\, the days when Appledore’s streets were full of sailors and shipbuilders. Their rousing songs of the sea will lift your spirits and warm your heart. \nThis is an Appledore Music Festival pre-festival gig. \nThe evening is also a food drive.
