Come along and join in festivities\, and while you are there raise a glass or two in memory of old Appledore history\, when the ships built in the multiple yards minutes from the social club would ply their trade between the ports of North Devon and those of Ireland\, trading fish\, coal\, timber and wool in a tradition stretching back at least 500 years.

DESCRIPTION:Tommmaso Starace is an acclaimed alto sax player. Born in 1975 in Italy Tommaso started playing the saxophone and studying music at the age of 18. He moved to the United Kingdom in 1994 where he graduated from Birmingham Conservatoire. He has performed with some of the most respected jazz musicians including Paolo Fresu\, Dave O’Higgins\, Fabrizio Bosso\, Billy Cobham\, David Liebman\, Kenny Wheeler\, Stan Sulzmann and Paolo Pellegatti. \nAppledore is honoured to have Tommaso perform with his quartet at the Beaver Inn\, under the auspices of the  North Devon Jazz Club.
