DESCRIPTION:Globe trotting violinist\, singer and composer Azhaar Saffar brings her band Global Wave to North Devon Jazz Club in The Beaver\, Appledore on 3rd April to play a rich variety of music which displays influences from all over the world. \nAzhaar has been a violinist/singer/composer from an early age and has 9 albums to her name.  Her latest album\, in a jazz fusion style\, embraces Latin\, Brazilian \, African and Arabic musical traditions\, with Azhaar’s sonorous violin bringing it all together.   \nAzhaar has performed all over Europe\, including Montreux\, EFG London Jazz Festival\, Brecon Jazz\, Glastonbury and Larmer Tree. DESCRIPTION:Original music from the Gaz Hughes trio\, led by prize-winning drummer Gaz Hughes\, featuring pianist Andrzej Baranek. \nGaz Hughes is a renowned jazz drummer and band leader\, who won the Best Jazz Album of the Year at the Gilles Peterson Worldwide Awards in 2012. Gaz has performed with an impressive array of jazz artists\, both in the UK and internationally\, . Additionally\, he has collaborated with a number of rock and pop artists such as Patti Boulaye and Suzi Quatro. \nIn May 2022\, Gaz released an album with his trio “Beboperation” to critical acclaim. In February 2023\, Gaz releases his third album as a band leader\, entitled “Beboptical Illusion”.
