DESCRIPTION:AWARD-WINNING JAZZ SINGER AT BEAVER \nAward-winning jazz singer/pianist Liane Carroll makes an annual visit to the The Beaver\, Appledore on 29 September.\nVoted several times as the UK’s best jazz vocalist Liane sings every song as though she owns it. She has been described as ‘deeply soulful\, wonderfully honest’ by The Times\, and by Jazzwise Magazine as possessing ‘ that rare ability to meld effortless\, often transcendent\, vocal and piano technique\, with heart stopping emotion and soul bearing power’. \nAccompanying herself in a rollicking\, bluesy piano style Liane has enthralled audiences at Ronnie Scott’s Club\, Pizza Express\, Glastonbury Festival\, the Proms and many other venues in the UK and abroad. \nLiane will be joined by her husband Roger Carey who is bass guitarist with Steeleye Span.  \nThe gig starts at 8:30pm and is hosted by the North Devon Jazz Club. Keep up the good work NDJC. There is no entrance fee\, however a collection is taken for the band.
