DESCRIPTION:JOOLS HOLLAND’S SAXOPHONIST AT THE BEAVER \nSaxophonist Derek Nash\, who is a leading member of Jools Holland’s big band\, is the distinguished guest of fellow  saxophonist Martin Dale and his quartet on Monday 31st March at North Devon Jazz Club in The Beaver\, Appledore. Rated as one of the finest saxophonists in the UK Derek Nash also accompanies many artists such as Tom Jones\, Eric Clapton\, Paul McCartney and Gregory Porter. Derek is also a prolific composer for TV and radio as well as various jazz ensembles and he has received several awards for his musicianship. The Observer praised his ‘bravura display of contemporary saxophone’ while The Sunday Times described his playing as ‘breathtaking’. \nThe gig is at 8:30pm and is hosted by the North Devon Jazz Club.
