DESCRIPTION:Described by Time Out Magazine as a jazz pianist ‘who plays with spacious and fractious beauty’\, Will Butterworth and his trio  perform a programme of intense and exhilarating  music. \nWill is joined by bassist Marcus Vergette and drummer Preston Prince to play a programme of Will’s compositions and standards. To quote a review by Jazzmann of  the album Will Butterworth Trio Live their music is  ‘a stimulating three way discussion for piano\, bass and drums\, an encapsulation of all that’s good about this exceptional trio.’ Ian Patterson of All About Jazz has written about Will’s ‘starkly beautiful melodies and simple rhythms juxtaposed against intricate contours and free-wheeling improvisations…’ \nThe gig is at 8:30pm and is hosted by the North Devon Jazz Club.
