DESCRIPTION:Bristol based Swiss pianist Martin Kern performs with a trio led by top-rated pianist Jim Blomfield on 18th September at North Devon Jazz Club in The Beaver\, Appledore. Martin’s music is a striking blend of bebop\, hard bop and contemporary jazz\, his sound reflecting those of legendary saxophonists Sonny Rollins\, Dexter Gordon and others. \nJim Blomfield is the pianist of choice for many UK bands. A specialist in Latin and Salsa piano styles\, his playing in this genre is held in high regard and often imbues his playing style in general.
