Sophie Smiles is a talented and versatile pianist and bass player based in Westward Ho! She learnt to play from listening to the great New Orleans piano master Dr John and is frequently seen at open mic nights in and around Appledore. She plays honky tonk and Southern funk and blues, and has accompanied some big musical names. Sophie will be performing at the Beaver with the Sophie Smiles Band, featuring the best local musicians. Sophie herself will play her trademark piano as well as bass guitar, though not simultaneously.
